Community 100k Challenge

  • Are you getting your daily exercise?
  • Do you need something to motivate you whilst you are out taking your permitted daily exercise?

Why not join our Community 100k Challenge and look after your physical and mental health!

Run, cycle, walk, whatever suits you, aim to complete 100k by June 19th.

Challenge starts Friday 1st May but you can join anytime after that date.

Accept the invite to the group

Get going! Simply press start in the app when you head off and press stop when you finish.

Press and hold stop to upload your distance to the challenge.

Whether you do 2k, 5k, or 10k a week it all adds up and builds up to the 100k Challenge.

It's not a race, you can start anytime.

FAQ's

Does the app cost money?
No, it's completely free with no in-app purchases

Do I have to sync it with my contacts?
No, you can dismiss that option and tick the 'don't show again' box if it comes up again.

How do I add you as a friend?
There are a couple of ways to add friends, either via your Profile or via the Feed.
You are looking for this symbol on either page:

Then click the microscope icon and add my email address katgreen36@hotmail.com then click tap my name Kathryn Green to add me as a friend. If you search via name only you may get multiple options come up in a list.

How do I join the Challenge?
Once you have added me as a friend I will add you to the challenge, this will then appear in the 'Challenges' section on the app under 'Invitations' click the invite and press accept and then you are in.

Can I invite my friends to the challenge or do they too have to add you as a friend?
You can add your friends and family to the challenge yourself. Add them as a friend in the same way. Then go into the Shrewsbury House challenge and click the 3 dots in the top right corner, in that drop-down list you will see 'invite friends' click that and then select the friends you want to invite to the challenge. They will then get an invitation in their challenges to accept.

How do my walks/runs get added to the challenge?
When you go out for a walk or run, click 'Start' on the Run section of the app. The app will record your distance whilst you are out, then when you finish, click and hold stop to record your distance. As long as you have accepted the challenge your distance will be automatically added to the challenge board.

I haven't started the challenge yet, am I too late to join?
No, the challenge runs until 19th June so you can join at any point and still have plenty of time to complete the challenge
