Talk on artist Rosemary Rutherford by Donna Adkinson

Free but donations welcome

Rutherford had a fascinating career starting out in the 1930s, establishing herself alongside artists such as Barbara Hepworth and Henry Moore. During World War Two she resettled evacuee and refugee children along with other roles to support the war effort and documented these experiences in her paintings and drawings. After the war she retrained as a stained glass art designer to help replace church windows that were damaged in the conflict.
