The wildlife garden at Shrewsbury House contains a variety of wild flowers and a few vegetables. Also a medium sized pond with 8 fish. With some hard work and time put into the new garden, red, blue and green dragonflies can be seen around the pond.
Butterflies and bees fly in and out of the plant life and birds visit regularly looking for food and water, even a bath.
A hotel for amphibious creatures such as frogs, toads and hopefully newts one day, has been built by the side of the pond.
Water boatman flick on top of the pond and nibble the fish food floating on the water.
The fox pops in now and again and chomps on the pond plants and occasionally throws them around! That’s not good, buts its wild life and keeps us on our toes.
