The 10th Royal Eltham is one of 28 Scout Groups in the Royal Greenwich Scout District, and our Group badge is a silhouette of Severndroog Castle, an 18th century folly in Castle Woods close to our meeting place on Shooters Hill.

As members of the Scout Association, we seek to provide young people with opportunities to participate in adventurous outdoor activities, learn team-building skills and develop new friendships.

We are firmly committed to co-education so that boys and girls can develop together through one programme.

Membership is open to all young people and adults, regardless of ability, who are prepared to accept Scouting’s fundamental principles.

About Beaver Scouts:

Beavers Scouts are young people usually aged between six and eight years old.

They belong to the first and youngest Section in the Scouting family.

Young people can join Beaver Scouts in the three months leading up to their sixth birthday.

They can move to the next Section, Cub Scouts, between seven years and six months and eight years six months.

With a varied program and lots of activities, Beaver Scouts will make friends, play games, try new things such as cooking and craft making, all providing ample opportunity to let off steam and have lots of fun! Beaver scouts will also work towards many of the badges and awards available to them, ranging from badges for scientific experiments to badges for caring for an animal.
