String Maestros at Shrewsbury House is a centre for the study of the violin and cello. All our teachers are professionally trained musicians who are active performers, both as soloists and with orchestras.
Our one-to-one violin/violoncello lessons are focused on the desires of the individual, whether they be complete beginners or advanced players, for children to adults from the age of 5 to 93.
ABRSM grade exams are held towards the end of each term and we can work towards them.
We will also prepare you for music scholarship exams or music college auditions.
We know that working towards a performance gives more motivation for practising and helps to achieve your goals faster. All violinists and cellists are encouraged to take part in our events - from family gatherings or informal soirèes to public concerts. We usually join forces with Piano Maestros, thus creating an opportunity to meet pianists with whom to play chamber music and bring these two communities together.
Regular musical events will inspire your regular practice and help you to develop your natural confidence.
