21 May 2020

UPDATED 21st May. Always look on the bright side of life! The weather is lovely and even if we are living life in a mask there are things to do here to keep us entertained. Keep checking back as we'll be adding new bits and pieces as they come in.

The Great Lockdown Quiz Night

We know you've missed them so we're bringing back our ever-popular Friday quiz nights...but online. Hosted by Kate Halpin (yes, she's one of the PAWS team that rowed the channel) we kick off at 7.30pm on Friday 22nd May. The quiz will be held using Zoom and the number of teams will be limited. A team must be people who live together and who can share the same computer or other device.

To book a place email kathryn@shrewsburyhouse.org

The quiz is free but if you felt like making a £5.00 donation it would be much appreciated. Just text HOUSE to 70970.

Kids Artwork

We are missing all the children's creativity at Shrewsbury House and would love to see what our community families are getting up to at home.

Here are some ideas for you to get creative with and then send us a picture to kathryn@shrewsburyhouse.org with your name and age and we will collate all artwork on the Shrewsbury House website to share. Please use the topic heading as your email subject.

Bugs Galore!
What bugs can you find in your garden or when out for a walk? Can you draw or paint a picture of them? Perhaps use things that you find outside in your piece of art; grass, twigs, leaves to bring it all to life!

Pet Perfect!
Send us a picture you have drawn of a pet. It could be a pet that you have at home or a dream pet you wish you had. Or even a pet from your imagination!

Family and Friends
Being at home with our family is something we can cherish but we are all still missing our friends and the family that doesn't live with us. Why not draw a picture of you with those people that you miss the most or a picture if you and your household together.

Life after Lockdown
This lockdown won't last forever, send us a picture of the first thing you are going to do when this is all over!
