The heart and focus of our community

24 Aug 2017

Local MP Clive Efford and Royal Borough of Greenwich Assistant Chief Executive Katrina Delaney were among those showing support for Shrewsbury House Community Centre (SHCC) at the recent Emergency General Meeting.

Over a hundred people from SHCC user groups, local residents and others gathered to elect the new Board of Trustees who have taken up the task of securing the financial future of the house and further developing it as an exciting, thriving place where people of all ages can come together safely to enjoy fun, recreation and education.

Newly-elected Chair of Trustees, Graham Penn said "the impressive turnout for the emergency meeting shows just how much local people appreciate and care about Shrewsbury House. The new Board of Trustees is made up of local people with the ideas, enthusiasm and also the skills to get us through these difficult times.

"We want to involve as many people as possible in designing a great future for SHCC. We want to hear from current users, past users and new potential users, anyone who wants to contribute their ideas, knowledge and skills. We want to make Shrewsbury House the heart and focus of our community."

The new Board of Trustees is:

  • Graham Penn (Chair)
  • Rob Belfield (Vice Chair)
  • Richard Perrott (Treasurer)
